Carnival Cruise Lines and Cruise Planners Travel would like to help raise money for your organization and have created a fun-filled fundraising event based upon a group cruise concept. It’s likely that many of your current supporters will take a vacation at some point during the year. By choosing to do so together, as a group, a portion of their cruise fare would be donated back to your organization and then Carnival Cruise Lines and Cruise Planners Travel will provide a “matching contribution” up to $160 per cabin depending on the cruise you choose*. Just think of the great benefits:

Carnival will match funds raised by the non-profit organization from $30 per stateroom up to $160 per stateroom depending upon the duration of the cruise selected and availability. The “contribution” check, based on the actual number of staterooms that sail, will be made payable to the non-profit organization and will be distributed after the sailing. Substantiation of the donations raised by the organization through the cruise promotion must be submitted at the time of final payment.

The organization may choose to raise funds by marking up the group rate or by taking the value of the free berths earned as their contribution. Here are some examples:

1. Group marks up group price by $100 per cabin on a 7 day cruise: Group sells 50 cabins 50 cabins x $100 = $5000 Carnival will match UP TO $70 maximum per cabin on a 7 day cruise. So Carnival pays charity $70 x 50 cabins = $3500 TOTAL FUND RAISING = $8500.00 2. Group marks up group price by $100 per cabin on a 4 day cruise: Group sells 25 cabins 25 cabins x $100 = $2500 Carnival will match UP TO $40 per cabin So Carnival pays charity $40 x 25 = $1000 TOTAL FUND RAISING = $3500 3. With 100 paid guests (50 cabins) on a 7-day cruise, group earns six free berths (based on one free bed for every 15 full fare paid) Lets say the value of these three frees totals $4000 (a made up number!) You can add that amount to the funds raised in example #1 and your fundraising now equals: TOTAL FUND RAISING = $12500.00

4. One more way to raise funds would be to take two earned frees (one cabin) and hold a raffle for a free cruise to be taken with the group. Participants would be encouraged to book their cabin and their deposit would be refunded if they win the raffle. Your earnings potential is unlimited based on the number of participants. All fund raising offers are capacity controlled by ship and sailing date and are subject to availability and withdrawal at any time. On a 7 night cruise, Cruise Planners will add an additional contribution to your fundraising dollars of $25 per passenger.
